Improving SEO with Google Search Console

Whether you are a blog writer, business owner, or entrepreneur, if you have a website, you need to focus on SEO. SEO or Search Engine Optimization is a way of allowing search engines, such as Google and Bing to recommend your site and pages to potential clients. After publishing your site, these search engines will break down your site and hunt for keywords that are (or should be) related to your business category. Then when someone looks up “nail salons in Biloxi”, your website or page should pull up.

BUT, what if it DOESN’T?

Does Google even know that you create this page? Has it searched for keywords yet? Or what if you just updated your page? Letting Google know that you have made adjustments or have published your site is important so it can decipher more about your business or brand category. The easiest way to check if your page is up and will most likely show in Google Search results is to link your business website and page to Google Search Console. This requires you have a Google Business Page for your business as well, then you can copy/paste any page from your site and have the console see if it has been added or updated on Google to be pulled up in search results.

If you have not done this for every page on your website, you may want to start NOW and double check that they are all added correctly. Most times, if you connect your website to your Google Business page this may update automatically, but on the off chance that it doesn’t, you may want to double check as your page could be missing new viewers.
